Leighton P. Walsh AKA Walshy Killa is originally from Molynes Road, Kingston, but moved to Mona Heights when he was young. He started to play sound in 95 playing on a sound from Nannyville called Changez. While playing that sound Walsh went to college in Atlanta and Won Sound/Selector of the year. After graduating Walsh moved back to jamaica where he began to play with the sound Coppershot, only to leave Jamaica again to pursue his masters degree. Walsh finished and got a job in Brooklyn New York, working for the worlds most famous record shop, Beat Street Records. Beat Street made Walsh a highly respected Hip Hop dj, of which he entered dj battles/clashes and won, aquiring the moniker Walshy Killa. Also While living in Brooklyn he began to dj parties for MTV and Diesel to name a few, adding to his list of musical masterings house, trance, disco, funk, and neo soul. Now as a member of Black Chiney Walsh is getting a chance to use all his aspects of music on a regular basis. Along with that this one man show also does producing and would eventually like to own a club (which his older brother the cricketer Courtney Walsh has just done). But whats most important to Walshy Killa is to stay in the streets, be a voice for whats going on in peoples day to day lives, and to keep people in love with music.
